Meet Tori!

Hi, I’m Tori (She/They)! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Chicago School and a Master’s Degree in Education from Slippery Rock University.

I have 10 years of experience working in the mental health field, with a specialized focus on OCD and anxiety. For the past 2.5 years, I have worked as a therapist in a group practice, providing individual, family and group therapy to children, teens, young adults, and adults.

OCD and anxiety are my primary areas of focus. I believe effective OCD treatment is about more than simply managing symptoms—it’s about helping you step out of the cycle of OCD and move toward the life you want to live. I use evidence-based approaches such as ERP and ACT while tailoring treatment to each client’s individual needs, goals, and comfort level.

Before becoming a clinical therapist, I worked as a Family Based Therapist, where I gained extensive experience providing structural family therapy, crisis management, and supporting families through challenging circumstances. These experiences have shaped the way I approach therapy today and have helped me develop a flexible, compassionate approach that considers the whole person and the experiences that have shaped them.

I also have experience working with the LGBTQ+ community, and as a member of that community, I understand how important it is to have a therapeutic space where you feel safe, supported, and accepted for who you are.

Most importantly, I believe that the therapeutic relationship matters. My true specialty is connecting with my clients and creating an environment where you can feel comfortable being your authentic self. I use humor, warmth, and a playful approach when appropriate because I don’t believe therapy always has to feel heavy or intimidating. I want you to feel like you can show up as yourself—messy thoughts, difficult feelings, and all—and know that we can work through them together.

If you’re looking for a therapist who specializes in OCD and anxiety and values authenticity, connection, and a little humor along the way, I’d love to connect with you.
